Kiplinger's research shows payrolls to expand further this year by 190,000 jobs per month on average dropping the jobless rate to 4.6% by year end. The hiring outlook for college graduates continues to improve as employers plan to hire 11 percent more new college graduates from the Class of 2016 for their U.S. operations than they did from the Class of 2015, according to results of NACE's Job Outlook 2016 survey. Employers that expect to maintain their hiring numbers now represent the largest group of respondents since the 2010-11 recruiting year.
What does this mean for you? With 1 in 5 employers committed to hiring and only 8% of employers labeled unsure or reducing their labor force, good candidates are going to be in demand. And as the year goes on they will become more expensive. Colleges and universities cannot deliver the experienced people you need.
